Headed for Southern Califorina

Here we come!

Before we go to Maui we're in the planning stages of a trip to Southern California. Carolyn has a "cousinette", Nancy, and her husband, Big Ed, who live in San Marino, CA. It's been years since we've been to their home and California in general.

This is a year of reconnecting with family and friends we've neglected for years.

Map to California and back. How does this route look? Where to stay between LA and San Fransico? How is the weather between 2/28 or so and mid March?

Any comments?

Hay Captain Career (ret.)and #1 Cousin,
Sounds like you know how to truely make the most of your retirement years. Just wondering if you would want to stop in and visit some other cousinetties on the way down to So. Cal. There is Nancy (Booth)Brown in Redding, CA. She is an artist also, ceramic. Then maybe jog east of San Fran/ and visit Georgia (Booth) and husband Newby in Modesto.
I have always enjoyed the beautiful wine country, above SF and taking hiway 1 as far as possible. From Oregon on down. The ocean vista's are wonderful. The Redwoods never are boring and no doubt much more majestic since I last saw then 45 yrs. ago!!!!!!! How time fly's!!
This would be a good time for me to recommend some really good books on tape. I'd be happy to do so if you plan to bring some. Any library has CD's and tapes galore. I'm such a Bk. on tape fan and have many to highly recommend.
Come on up here for a visit before you go to Nancy's......It's still a whole month away!
Love to you both and keep the good forwrds/jokes a comin'.
